Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Coach and Fitter role based in Randburg. The Coach and Fitter will provide one-on-one and small-group golf coaching sessions, focusing on swing analysis, fundamentals, and tailored improvement plans. The role includes conducting equipment fittings, assessing players’ needs, recommending suitable clubs, and using fitting tools or technology to optimize performance. Daily responsibilities involve scheduling sessions, maintaining accurate client records, preparing coaching materials, and ensuring fitting areas and practice spaces are clean, safe, and well-organized. The Coach and Fitter will collaborate with colleagues on training programs, support sales of fitted equipment, and deliver a consistently positive, professional experience for all customers.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated golf coaching experience, including swing analysis, skills development, and the ability to tailor instruction to different ability levels.
- Knowledge of golf equipment and club fitting principles, with the ability to assess player needs and recommend appropriate gear.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle bookings, client records, and multiple coaching and fitting sessions efficiently.
- Comfort using basic technology and golf-related tools (e.g., launch monitors, video analysis) and willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Randburg, including evenings or weekends as needed, and to maintain a professional, inclusive environment.
- Previous experience in golf instruction, sports coaching, or pro shop/retail environments is an advantage.
- Relevant coaching certifications or formal training in golf or sports coaching are beneficial but not strictly required.
