Clinical Trainer (Master Trainer for DOH) Jobs in Eastern Cape at One to One Africa
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Clinical Trainers to train healthcare workers, including Community Health Workers on maternal and child health and early childhood development (ECD). The Clinical Trainer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training programs that equip CHWs with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care and education to mothers, children, and families within the community. The role also includes monitoring healthcare workers’ progress, offering ongoing support, and ensuring that all training aligns with current healthcare standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct interactive and engaging training sessions for healthcare workers on maternal and child health, including topics such as antenatal care, postnatal care, breastfeeding, immunization, and nutrition.
Train healthcare workers on early childhood development practices, covering areas such as cognitive development, early learning, health promotion, and child protection, utilizing a variety of training methods, including workshops, role-playing, demonstration, and hands-on practical sessions.
Update and adapt training content regularly to reflect changes in healthcare guidelines, policies, and best practices.
Assess healthcare workers knowledge and skills through regular evaluations, quizzes, and practices assessments.
Provide constructive feedback to healthcare workers, offering guidance on areas for improvement and recognizing their strengths.
Monitor and report on the progress and performance of healthcare workers throughout the training program.
Offer continuous support and mentoring to healthcare workers in the field, helping them to apply their training effectively in real-world settings.
Address any challenges or issues that arise during the implementation of healthcare workers’ training.
Ensure that all training activities meet the required healthcare standards and ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure consistency and quality across all trainings.
Participate in meetings and discussions related to maternal and child health and early childhood development.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
· A clinical qualification such as RN (Registered Nurse).
· Experience as a Trainer or Master Trainer
· Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
· Prior experience in training or educating healthcare workers, especially in a community health setting.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of maternal and child health, early childhood development, and related healthcare practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Ability to engage and motivate healthcare workers, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in using digital tools for training and reporting is an advantage.
A valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools is an advantage.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to accommodate training schedules.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: R30 000,00 – R34 000,00 per month
