Title: Client Services Representative

Company: HIVEWEALTH

Location: Durbanville, Western Cape, South Africa

Company Description

HiveWealth is a value-driven financial services company focused on simplifying clients’ financial lives and building long-term, multi-generational wealth. Instead of pushing products, we help clients create personalized, sustainable financial ecosystems aligned with their goals and principles. HiveWealth centres each client’s family, vision, and legacy in every decision, offering guidance rooted in clarity, care, and long-term thinking. Our team collaborates to provide holistic, client-first solutions that challenge short-sighted, product-driven approaches to finance.

Role Description

The Client Services Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Durbanville, Cape Town. This role supports client-facing operations — managing client inquiries, coordinating appointments, preparing documentation, and ensuring a smooth onboarding and ongoing service experience. The role collaborates with advisors and internal teams to maintain accurate records, handle administrative tasks, and follow up on client requests professionally. Day-to-day activities include phone and email communication, updating client information in internal systems, supporting basic sales and service processes, and contributing to a values-aligned client experience.

This role also serves as a development path for candidates working toward becoming an accredited Financial Advisor (Representative) under the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS) Act.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) — minimum requirement. No matric requirement waiver — this is a baseline FSCA-recognised entry qualification for the industry.

  • A recognised NQF Level 5 qualification (e.g. Higher Certificate in Financial Management) is required to progress to a full Representative role, and must be completed within 6 years of first appointment as a representative, per FSCA Fit and Proper requirements. Candidates without this qualification are welcome to apply and study while employed.

  • RE5 (Regulatory Examination for Representatives) preferred; candidates without RE5 must be willing to obtain it. In terms of the Fit and Proper requirements, representatives are generally required to pass RE5 within 2 years of first appointment as a representative.

  • Willingness to complete Class of Business (COB) training within the first 12 months if the role expands into advice-related functions.

Fit and Proper / Integrity Requirements

In line with the FAIS Act’s Fit and Proper requirements, all candidates progressing toward a Representative role must be able to demonstrate:

  • Honesty and integrity — no history of debarment by the FSCA, and disclosure of any past dismissal for dishonesty, fraud, theft, or forgery.
  • Good standing — disclosure of any pending or past sequestration, liquidation, or adverse credit judgments relevant to the role.
  • Competence — a demonstrated commitment to developing the qualifications, exam, and experience requirements above, and willingness to work under supervision until those competency requirements are met.
  • Operating under supervision — while working toward full Representative status, all advice-related work will be conducted under the supervision of a Key Individual, per FAIS Act requirements.

Reference, credit, and criminal record checks form part of our standard recruitment and onboarding process, consistent with industry Fit and Proper obligations.

Salary

  • Gross Salary +/- R15 000 p/m
