Gallagher Re is looking to recruit a Client Service and Operations Manager to join our team in Johannesburg.

Whilst leading on client advocacy, this is a broad role responsible for supporting strategy and growth objectives, financial oversight and driving strong governance, compliance and controls.

The Role:

Strategy and Growth

Support the development of business opportunities through the provision of excellent operational and client service, enhancing the reputation of the team as a centre of operational excellence, internally and externally.

Support the local team in managing sales plans, pipelines, revenue analysis and client relationship management.

Financial Oversight

Liaise with Business Analysts to ensure accurate and timely collation of budget and forecast data including revenue analysis and product and practice metrics.

Ensure that Sales data is appropriately collated and shared on internal systems.

Governance, Compliance and Controls

Work closely with EMEA Operations Directors and other operations colleagues to ensure local issues are represented and managed according to best practice and regulatory adherence.

Maintain knowledge of the regulatory environment in all territories that the South Africa team operates and ensure full compliance of the team

Ensure that the South African team follows Gallagher Re guidelines and local regulation.

Act as secondary Data Privacy Officer for legal entity.

Ensures all employees are trained in all relevant compliance policies and procedures and foster a culture that understands the importance of full adherence.

Participates in forums related to operations and servicing where required.

Ensures legal matters are dealt with in accordance to company policies and procedures and local laws, liaising with legal team where appropriate.

Client Service Advocacy

Responsible for the day-to-day servicing and account management for South African clients.

Build relationships with clients and reinsurers relating to servicing needs.

Support Team Leaders and servicing teams in other locations for their understanding of the South African business, technical knowledge and client needs.

Work with Ipswich Client Service Team leader, Ipswich/Mumbai teams to ensure delivery of client servicing according to client needs and internal targets.

Monitor and review service performance metrics and KPIs, identify trends and variances and instigate action plans, where required, to address on-going issues.

Nurture and maintain a culture of continuously improving the services delivered to clients.

Skills Experience and Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of the Reinsurance market

Proven experience in a similar client servicing role in the insurance industry

Excellent verbal and written language skills
