Duties & Responsibilities

Take full responsibility and management of your site.

Act with utmost urgency when attending to client requests and do so proactively.

Allocate contract resources effectively to maximize cleaning output, adhering to SLA requirements.

Manage output-based contracts efficiently.

Proactively manage a pool of trained relief staff with HR to prevent service disruptions.

Ensure work schedules and job cards are in place and relevant to each site.

Maintain high service standards through regular inspections.

Manage unit closures properly until the last trading day, attending to staff, equipment, billing, and costs within the closure month.

Retain contracts by providing excellent service, mitigating cancellation risks, and building strong client relationships.

Ensure staff are correctly dressed with name badges, upholding the company’s image.

Adhere strictly to cleaning methodologies, policies, quality programs, and legislation.

Perform monthly asset checks, ensuring equipment is in good condition and repaired when needed.

Use and update electronic tools provided by the company effectively.

Schedule and conduct staff training regularly to empower employees.

Maintain unit files and notice boards as per TCS policy.

Communication

Conduct regular client meetings and obtain sign-offs on unit visit checklists.

Respond promptly to client and management requests.

Complete monthly client-specific reports and surveys as required.

Communicate company information effectively to staff.

Keep management informed of pertinent contract issues.

Labour Management

Work with HR to allocate staff according to policies.

Complete and submit timesheets timely.

Manage daily HR and industrial relations issues, adhering to disciplinary policies.

Participate in CCMA cases and union meetings if required.

Hold performance appraisals, identify development needs, and ensure staff comply with company rules.

Health And Safety

Ensure compliance with OHS Act and site-specific safety requirements.

Unit Finances

Manage leave liabilities and plans.

Identify opportunities for additional business.

Authorize and bill rechargeable and overtime work promptly.

Ensure debt collection aligns with agreements.

Get approval for capital expenditures and repairs.

Order chemicals and consumables within budget.

General

Maintain high morale and motivation.

Attend meetings and training sessions.

Implement initiatives from clients and management, supporting functions like Quality, Procurement, Training, or HR.

Represent the TCS brand professionally.

Adhere to statutory and legal requirements.

Stay updated on company policies and procedures.

Perform ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

Relevant management experience in operations and people management.

Minimum 5 years’ middle management experience in a similar environment.

Healthcare industry experience is advantageous.

Experience managing large teams.

Knowledge of cleaning principles, policies, and procedures.

Strong staffing and scheduling skills aligned with SLA requirements.

Industrial relations expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
