Class A Transfer Station Driver & Recycling Sorter Jobs in Ridgeland, SC at Tropical Trash
The CDL Class A Transfer Station Driver & Recycling Sorter is responsible for the safe operation of a Class A semi tractor-trailer to transport solid waste from the Tropical Trash Transfer Station to the designated landfill facility. This is a dual-function role: in addition to over-the-road hauling duties, the driver works directly on the trash pad during load-waiting and loading periods, hand-sorting recoverable materials (metal, wood, plastic, and other recyclables) from the incoming waste stream. This position is essential to both the transportation and materials-recovery operations of the Transfer Station and requires a driver who is equally comfortable behind the wheel and working hands-on in an active waste-handling environment.
