Job Purpose
The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified individual to render technical services and support in sustainable resource use and management, operations, and maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification;
Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as an Engineering Technician; A minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification technical (engineering) experience.
Recommendation
A valid driving license (Code B or higher).

Render technical services:
Assist engineers, technologists, and associates in field, workshop, and technical office activities.
Perform administrative and related functions.
Compile and submit reports as required.

Remuneration
Grade A: R 371 253 – R 396 522 per annum;
Grade B: R 419 325 – R 449 079 per annum;
Grade C: R 472 812 – R 556 080 per annum. (Salary will be determined based on post registration experience as per OSD prescribed).
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
