Role Responsibilities
Responsible for design and modelling within municipal services realm – from planning to detailed design and construction drawings specific to land development and municipal infrastructure. (Roads, stormwater, water, sewer, telecoms, bulk earthworks)
Assist in the preparation of project specifications, BoQ’s, cost estimates and tender documentation.
Prepare reports required by the project, implementation of all relevant codes of practice and ensuring that all work complies with Zutari ‘s quality control procedures and is implemented to
Knowledge and experience of working with relevant engineering codes, standards, and practices and specifically SANS 1200.
Must be able to work well in a team to support the Project Leader but should also have the capability to take the lead on project designs.
Ensure the quality of drawings produced and that the required drawing standards are maintained
Undertake construction supervision duties where required.
Deliver excellent client service and experience when presented with the opportunity
Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organizational levels)
Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and time management skills.
Confident, well-spoken, disciplined, detail and deadline / delivery orientated.
Minimum Requirements
B Sc / Beng, B Eng Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience post qualification as a designer in Land Infrastructure projects
Must be AutoCAD proficient.
Must be Civil 3D proficient – in terms of the design of civil services and earthworks.
