Salary: R1.2 – R1 mil
The requirements associated with the position are as follows:
BEng or BSc (Eng) required
5-10 years of relevant experience
BEng in Civil Engineering or similar
Professional registration (PrEng) will be advantageous
Experience in the design of tailings storage facilities, return water dams and associated infrastructure
Experience in carrying out annual audit inspections on tailings storage facilities and return water dams
Experience in surveillance of tailings and/or return water dams
Experience in tender and contract documentation
Experience in CPTu testing and interpretation preferred
Experience in geotechnical investigations considered advantageous
Good fundamental understanding and knowledge of geotechnics
Exposure to associated civil engineering activities such as hydrology, structural design, dam breach assessments, water balances
