Location: Kempton Park
The role is responsible for strategically positioning SAAT’s financial status for long-term growth and delivering value to the shareholder.
A key focus of this position is to:
Communicate SAAT’s financial progress to all internal stakeholders
Increase market confidence in SAAT’s financial capability and strategic intent
Ensure that the finance function is optimally operational
The CFO SAAT is an ex-officio SAAT board member.
Principal Accountabilities
Formulate and execute the Technical and Corporate strategy
Conceptualize, develop, and implement a fully integrated finance model, strategy, and plan for SAAT that aligns with the SAA Group strategy
Oversee all operational and financial activities, providing business support to the CEO SAAT and the operationalleadershipteam
Advise the CEO SAAT andsenior leadershipon financial planning, budgeting, cash flow investment priorities, and policy matters
Develop and evolve systems forfinancial planning and analysis, improve forecasting and reporting processes, and ensure financial discipline regarding budgetary parameters and early warning systems
Challenge and improve business performance by identifying emerging issues, deriving solutions, and driving key business and financial initiatives
Act as a strategic partner to theleadershipteam, ensuring that the finance function collaborates with various business segments to ensure overall financial success
Ensure that the financial model for SAAT is continuously aligned with business requirements, focusing on the impact of external and internal factors that may pose risks to long-termsustainabilityand liquidity
Deliver sustainable business results and provide functionalleadershipto SAAT’s Finance division, ensuring appropriate structure, resources, and continuous auditing for alignment with the financial plan and legislative compliance
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Financial Management, Business Management, or a related field at NQF level 7
Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA or similar) is a strong advantage
CA(SA) is essential
7 – 10 years’ experience in a senior financial role within a large organization, with at least 5 years in progressively responsible financialleadership rolesat asenior managementlevel
Management experience within the aviation or mechanical engineering/maintenance industry in a senior financial role is an advantage
Experience inDiversityManagement is an advantage
Experience in Funding and/or Treasury is an advantage
