Chief Executive Officer – Telecommunications and Distribution/Wholesale Sector
Our client, within the Telecommunications and Distribution/Wholesale sector, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next phase of growth and transformation. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to shape strategy, drive national expansion, and lead innovation within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment. The successful incumbent will take full accountability for business performance, operational execution, and strategic direction, while working closely with the Board. This role is ideally suited to a dynamic leader who thrives in a growth-focused, change-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume full accountability for the organisation’s profit and loss, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability
- Lead and execute the overall business strategy, aligned to the company’s expansion objectives
- Oversee all operational, commercial, and delivery functions across the business
- Drive digital transformation and system implementation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Lead change management initiatives, embedding innovation and continuous improvement across the organisation
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to strengthen market position and drive revenue growth
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing leadership team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture
- Strengthen customer-centric approaches to ensure long-term client relationships and service excellence
- Engage with key stakeholders, including the Board, to provide strategic insights and performance reporting
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior executive leadership role, with full P&L accountability (R100m+ revenue environment preferred)
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, innovation, and organisational transformation
- Strong background in Telecommunications, Industrial Distribution, Technology, or related sectors
- Experience leading digital transformation and system implementation projects at scale
- Track record of developing and executing commercial and go-to-market strategies
- Strong leadership capability, with the ability to influence at Board and executive level
- Highly developed commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
- A relevant business or related tertiary qualification is essential
