40 hours, 5 day week.
At the sole discretion of the line Manager.
As and when required and as per employment contract.
Incumbents must be prepared to work overtime when required to meet the exigencies of the service.
Departmental transport or Ad-hoc allowance at the discretion of eThekwini Municipality’s Locomotion Sub-Committee.
Incumbents will be subject to transfer/relocation to any of the Electricity Unit’s depots or divisions as required.
As per the PPE schedule.
Job
Purpose
To supervise the special projects division which provides specialised draughting functions and provide in-house training in aspects of Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) to Trainee Draughtspersons in the branch.
Key Responsibility Areas
The creation and updating of substation/mini-substation low voltage sketches.
The preparation and updating of organograms, spreadsheets and certificates.
The production of orthographic and isometric drawing of various electrical and mechanical equipment.
The production and/or amendments of floor plans and plans for internal building alterations.
Control of subordinate staff, including their training development, supervision, productivity and disciplining.
Preparation of budget projections for software/hardware requirements and administration of documentation.
Responsible for the overseeing of regular maintenance of plan printer.
Attending site meetings, to take measurements of various equipment.

6) in Architectural Draughting or any other related and equivalent qualification.
