Location: South Dining (Case and Holden)
Starting Pay Rate: $14.73/hour
As a Fall 2026 cashier/host, you will be responsible for handling credit/debit card transactions for dining hall sales. You will also be responsible for checking student ID’s and assisting customers with any related questions. It is your job to provide outstanding customer service and ensure that guests are greeted in a friendly manner.
Typical Duties May Include
- Handling minor credit card transactions
- Assisting customers with questions and related issues
- Responding to customer issues
- Communicating with supervisors and managers to assist with customer issues
- Working flexibly to meet operational needs (including possible reassignment to the dining room, serving venues, and/or dish room)

Required Qualifications
- Enrollment at Michigan State University (during academic year)
- Commitment to outstanding customer service
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Positive and respectful attitude, especially when working with a diverse population

- Wednesday 1045AM-315PM Case Dining
- Friday 4PM-930PM Case Dining
- Thursday 630PM-1030PM Holden Sparty’s Market
Weekend shifts may be any variation of these times above as needed
