Royal Hospital invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
CASE MANAGER
Requirements:
Registered with SANC as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Case Manager
Acute, Rehabilitation and Stepdown experience
Trained in ICD10 and CPT Coding
Knowledge of Medical Aid policies and procedures
Clinical knowledge of nursing patients
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Key Work Output:
Check confirmations for LOS and LOC relative to each patient
Code all patients with ICD10 codes
Assess patients’ clinical reports and provide appropriate clinical information to the Funders and related parties
Constantly engage with the MDT for patient changes and update the relevant stakeholders
Liaising with the Funders and updating the status of each patient on a regular basis
Communicate with, and address queries with Medical Aid Case Managers
Assist with auditing and completion of patient files
Liaise with the credit control department regarding any queries
Ensuring adequate record keeping
General administrative duties
