Carpenter / Deck Builder (Mid-Level) – Full Time (W2)
Deck Innovations™ is a premium custom deck builder serving the Pittsburgh area. We specialize in building high-quality outdoor living spaces using the best materials, professional craftsmanship, and industry-leading building practices. We’re growing and looking for a motivated, skilled carpenter who takes pride in their work and wants to grow with a company that values quality over quantity.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a mid-level carpenter who can work independently on routine tasks with minimal supervision while taking direction from the Lead Carpenter on site. This is someone who already understands residential construction, shows up ready to work, and can consistently produce quality work.
This position has a clear path to becoming a Lead Carpenter for the right individual.
Schedule
Full-Time W2 Employee
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime opportunities available during busy seasons
Responsibilities
Follow daily direction from the Lead Carpenter.
Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail.
Read and accurately use a tape measure.
Install framing, decking, railing, stairs, fascia, and trim.
Operate power tools and construction equipment safely and professionally.
Assist with layout, framing, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Represent the company professionally while interacting with homeowners.
Follow all company safety standards and building practices.
Qualifications
3+ years of residential carpentry experience preferred.
Experience building decks is a major plus.
Able to complete common carpentry tasks without constant supervision.
Professional-level proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
Able to accurately cut, measure, and install materials.
Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Dependable transportation and valid driver’s license.
Able to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be punctual and reliable.
