POSITION INFO:
CANDIDATE ATTORNEY Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and client-facing Candidate Attorney to serve their articles of clerkship at a dynamic boutique commercial litigation firm in Johannesburg! Location : Roodepoort, Johannesburg Salary : R8,000 – R10,000 per month (in line with LPC stipend guidelines) Contrac t: 2-Year Articles Essential Qualifications: – LLB Degree (completed or awaiting graduation) – Articles to be registered with the LPC – Proficient in both English and Afrikaans (ESSENTIAL – operational requirement) – Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Comfortable working in a Mac environment Key Responsibilities: Litigation Support: – Assist attorneys with preparation and management of litigation matters across Magistrates” and High Court – Draft legal documents, pleadings, notices and correspondence under supervision – Attend court, consultations and meetings as required – Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda Client & Administrative: – Liaise with clients, sheriffs, correspondent attorneys and court officials – Utilise South African digital court platforms (Court Online, Caselines and related) – Provide general administrative support to the legal team – This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated LLB graduate to gain meaningful practical experience in a boutique litigation environment!
