We are looking for a high potential, diverse, quick thinking, innovative and versatile buyer, who is looking to apply their skills and talent to grow in the PEP Buying team. Purpose of the job

This is an exciting opportunity to join the PEP Buying Team. Your role will be to source and compile a range that meets the needs of the Pep consumer market. The range selected must contribute to the profit margin and price points of Pep, in accordance with the departmental directive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier management(sourcing and loading)
  • Range building (Product sourcing & range development)
  • Product determination
  • Product order management(Administration)
  • Budget management and OTB control
  • Research about target market and competitiveness

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Relevant Degree (e.g. Consumer Science) or Diploma (e.g. Fashion / Clothing / Interior Design or Purchasing Management)
  • Computer Literacy (MS Office &Google Suite)
  • Creative, eye for detail and analytical business approach
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as established buyer (Clothing/Footwear/Homeware)
  • Willingness to travel

Competencies: Good communicator, strong team player, confident, strong business acumen, negotiation and influencing, stress tolerance, building and maintaining relationships internally and externally, willingness to travel occasionally.
