Location: Benonie

Responsibilities:

Perform and update cash flow forecasts for the group on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Provide accurate and timely reporting on cash flow forecasts.

Analyze variances between forecast and actual cash flow to mitigate potential risks.

Daily, weekly, and monthly checking of the foreign procurement department, including:

Daily checking of costing as performed by the buying department.

Continuous checking of foreign purchases against supporting documentation.

Weekly reconciliation of forward exchange contracts and bank accounts.

Weekly reconciliation of payments to foreign suppliers.

Monthly updating of forecasted imports from the buying department.

Monthly reconciliation of foreign suppliers.

Monthly reconciliation of foreign exchange variances (both Bank and Creditors).

Monthly update and reconciliation of foreign suppliers’ rebate targets.

Oversee the group’s annual budgeting process, including rolling budgets and forecasts.

Review group management accounts (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) with the operational finance team and compare to cash flow forecasts and budgets.

Perform group consolidation on management accounts (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows).

Provide support to the Group CFO and Operational Finance team as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting (or similar) – non-negotiable.

Honours degree in Financial Accounting (or similar) – advantageous.

Successful completion of 3 years articles (preferably in medium-sized firms) – non-negotiable.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of commercial experience.

Advanced Excel skills – non-negotiable.

Ability to work with complex financial models and databases.

Ability to present complex financial information in a simplified format.

Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.

Good communication skills, with the ability to distil complex financial concepts into clear insights.

Strong business acumen to link financial modelling/forecasting with operational aspects of the business.

Strategic mindset to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data.

Acute attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience with foreign procurement processes, including an understanding of foreign purchases, creditors, and exchange rates.

Knowledge of shipping terms, VAT, duties, and freight clearing/forwarder accounts.

Up-to-date knowledge of full IFRS – advantageous.

Experience in preparing provisional tax calculations and normal tax calculations.

Experience in a group environment, including inter-company loans, debtors, and creditors.

Ability to work in a structured manner under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Self-motivated and able to work alone and in a team environment.
