Business Process Manager Jobs in City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa at Samaha Consulting
Title: Business Process Manager
Company: Samaha Consulting
Location: City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
Description :
Retail WFM requires a new design (not a reuse of DC patterns) due to differences in forecasting, scheduling rules, task/workload drivers, leave structures, time capture, and pay rules.
We need a senior process leader to define future-state processes and controls that can be configured into an enterprise WFM platform (UKG) and adopted across stores.
Role & Responsibilities :
End‑to‑end As‑Is / To‑Be process maps for Retail WFM (BPMN or equivalent).
A practical future operating model: roles/RACI, approvals, exception handling, controls/audit points.
Clear business rules + requirements pack for configuration and testing (scheduling, time & attendance, leave, pay rules).
Inputs to the change impact assessment to support adoption planning and rollout readiness.
Facilitate workshops with Store Ops, HR, Payroll, workforce planners, and operational stakeholders to capture reality and design fit-for-purpose processes.
Translate operational needs into configured-ready requirements (incl. exceptions, compliance controls, reporting needs).
Work closely with IT/project teams and vendors to ensure processes align to platform capabilities (UKG / enterprise WFM).
Identify process risks that could drive payroll/compliance failures and design mitigations into the process/control framework.
Must Have ;
8+ years senior Business Process / BPM / Operating Model experience in retail operations, WFM, scheduling, HR/payroll, or workforce-intensive environments.
Deep working knowledge of workforce management/scheduling: forecasting drivers, shift design, time & attendance, leave, pay rules, exceptions.
Strong facilitation skills + ability to drive decisions and standardisation across diverse stakeholder groups.
Nice to have
Experience delivering process design for UKG or similar enterprise WFM suites.
Lean/Six Sigma/service design experience; change impact assessment collaboration.
