Job Summary
The Business Planning Manager role supports the CEO Office and Coverage Team with a focus on governance, and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic position, you will have be collaborating closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Coverage Head for South Africa, alongside the committed Coverage Team and the broader Cluster.
Together, we will concentrate on enhancing business performance and achieving exceptional results through activities such as business reviews and sales enablement, managing client portfolios, and shaping our people agenda.
You will also play a critical role in frontline communication and the execution of our business strategy while overseeing project management tasks.
As the Business Planning Manager, you will work collaboratively with various teams, including our global Business Development teams, ensuring alignment and collective progress.
Your responsibilities will be varied, reflecting the evolving demands of our Coverage Business within the country and cluster. This entails a combination of routine tasks, project work, and occasional ad-hoc assignments that provide diversity and engagement.
In supporting the CEO, you will be instrumental in:
Developing and executing business strategies alongside financial plans that propel us forward, delivering notable financial performance that highlights our strengths, and ensuring adherence to Group policies to mitigate risks, including credit, operational, market, or reputational risks.
For the Coverage team, your contributions will include:
Assisting in the management and coordination of both operational and strategic objectives, thereby contributing to our overall success in the country, analyzing and presenting insights on our business performance to ensure alignment with our country and cluster initiatives, and preparing compelling presentations that showcase various facets of our Coverage activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of banking experience
Masters or Bachelors degree
Experience of working with senior stakeholders
Focused, organised and results-oriented
Strong and detailed understanding of the business and product capabilities, such as sales process, relationship management, risk, product sales etc
Problem solving skill to co-create client strategy, drive root-cause analysis, analyse business performance, etc
Willing to challenge the status quo, comfortable interacting with senior management
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Strong organisational and project management skills with excellent eye for detail
Highly proactive, demonstrating ambition, dedication and pride in work
Ability to create effective work relationships across functions & borders
Interpersonal skills in networking, influencing and decision taking
Can work independently to strict timeframes; Self-motivated to work with minimum supervision
