Location: Cape Town
Work Model: Onsite – 4 days per week
Contract: 3 months initially, with possible extension

About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for an Intermediate to Senior AWS BI / Amazon QuickSight Developer to support an important BI migration project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating complex Qlik applications into Amazon QuickSight, rebuilding the required data models, calculations and dashboards, and validating the new solutions against the existing Qlik environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on BI professional with strong Amazon QuickSight, Qlik and AWS experience who enjoys working directly with stakeholders and taking ownership of delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate complex Qlik applications and dashboards to Amazon QuickSight.
- Rebuild data models and business logic within QuickSight.
- Recreate calculations, KPIs and visualisations.
- Validate migrated dashboards against existing Qlik solutions.
- Analyse existing Qlik applications to understand data models, calculations and business requirements.
- Identify and resolve migration issues and risks.
- Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide clear communication on progress, challenges and delivery timelines.
- Work independently and take ownership of assigned migration outcomes.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Strong hands-on Amazon QuickSight development experience.
- Strong Qlik Sense and/or QlikView experience.
- Solid AWS experience.
- Experience developing BI dashboards and data visualisations.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and business logic.
- Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to translate existing BI solutions into new technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment.
