This is a one-year work experience opportunity which carries a modest stipend designed to assist the successful candidate to meet their core costs.
Prowess is seeking a client focused individual to join the Business Development Team in Cape Town, as part of a one-year work experience opportunity. The role reports to the Prowess Head of Client Management & Stakeholder Relations, involves regular and significant levels of interaction with our clients, and partners closely with our Investments, Investment Operations and Operations teams.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to build a branding, marketing, and client centric skillset as part of a growing and thriving team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and respond to client queries and surveys.
- Collation of client Due Diligence Questionnaires.
- Preparation of material for client reporting and presentations.
- Monitor and track client activities. Maintenance of the Prowess CRM system, ensuring that client information and engagement notes are up to date and accurate.
- Supporting management on the sales pipeline and new business strategy and regularly reporting progress against these plans.
- Developing knowledge of the market, our products, and our client solutions.
Qualifications
- Role is Cape Town based.
- Undergraduate Degree – Bachelor of Commerce (Finance or Economics) or Branding / Marketing / Sales or equivalent
- Interest in and desire to gain experience in the financial services sector (prior industry experience preferable)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Client focused mindset.
- Organized, accurate, strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Web skills, social media experience an advantage.
