About The Role

We are looking for a driven and highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join a fast-growing company serving the insurance, legal, and investigations sectors across North America.

This role is focused primarily on outbound prospecting and appointment setting. The SDR will conduct high-volume cold outreach to generate qualified meetings for senior sales team members. Success in this role comes from consistency, confidence on the phone, resilience, and strong follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calling to prospective clients
  • Generate qualified meetings for senior sales representatives
  • Follow up with prospects through email and LinkedIn outreach
  • Build relationships with decision-makers across insurance, legal, and investigations industries
  • Maintain accurate prospect and outreach tracking within HubSpot or CRM systems
  • Manage follow-up conversations from initial outreach through booked meetings
  • Support outreach tied to conferences, events, and marketing campaigns
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly outreach KPIs

Day-to-Day Focus

  • Approximately 90% outbound cold calling
  • Approximately 10% email follow-up, inbox management, and LinkedIn outreach

  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily
  • Positive, competitive, and resilient personality
  • Coachable and eager to improve
  • Organized with strong follow-up discipline
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Based in Cape Town, South Africa

  • SDR / BDR experience
  • Appointment setting

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $1,200-$1,400 USD/month
