Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics (M/F)

In line with its growth and international expansion strategy, Rangel is seeking to strengthen its commercial team with experienced professionals in South Africa.
This position will be responsible for growing the company’s warehousing and contract logistics portfolio.
Main responsibilities:
- Identify and develop business opportunities in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution and fulfilment operations
- Develop targeted sales plan for different sectors of activity/ industries
- Manage the complete sales cycle from first contact to proposal, negotiation and implementation
- Develop long term customer relationships and convert opportunities into sustainable logistics contracts; support customer retention through proactive communication and service solution development
- Support and ensure operational alignement and collaborate on developping customer solutions
- Prepare pricing models, cost analyses, proposals and commercial presentations
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell customs clearing, freight forwarding, road freight and cross-border services
Requirements and profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Sales, Management or equivalent academic background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Contract Logistics business development
- Strong understanding of warehousing, distribution, inventory management and supply chain operations
- Ability to prepare professional proposals, pricing models and customer presentations
- Commercial and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking
- Focused and goal-oriented
- High attention to detail and contract preparation
- The role requires regular visits to customer locations and operational sites
- Travel within South Africa and, when applicable, within the SADC region may be required based on business needs
