Business Development Manager Agriculture – Southern Africa

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Reporting structure: This Position reports into the GM Regional Network Southern Africa

General overview:

• Identify and create new opportunities, with the objective of growing the Agricultural Market

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships.

• Developing the relationship with those partners, thus driving revenue.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Market Research:

• Analyse market trends and customer needs identifying potential growth opportunities

2. Relationship development:

• Build strong relationships with all potential customers and Dealers.

3. Dealer Development:

• Identify and establish strategic partnerships that enable growth.

4. Negotiation:

• Negotiate deals and agreements with mutual benefit to partner and Manitou.

5. Sales Support:

• Provide information, resources, and recommendations to all sales organizations.

6. Market Growth:

• Explore new applications and solutions within the Agricultural market.

7. Strategic Planning:

• Identify market trends and propose actions to align with those trends or create new ones.

• Identify potential opportunities, proposing actions to take advantage of those opportunities.

8. Metrics and Reporting:

• Track Key performance indicators (KPIs) such as and not limited to

i. Revenue growth

ii. Partnership success

iii. Market penetration.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 (3 year tertiary education valuable)

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 Years+ experience in Capital Equipment industry in the Agricultural market

• Demonstrates a high level of understanding of agricultural environment and requirements.

• Proven Track record in Sales Management

• Experience in working with senior stakeholders and Client relationship management

• High competence in computer literacy and data analysis.

• Adept at learning methods, process and strategies related to Agriculture

• Cultural awareness
