As our new Business Development Manager, you will identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the East and Southern Africa markets. This role suits a high-energy, target-driven professional skilled in prospecting, building strong client relationships, and selling cloud services and solutions.
Other responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand Crayon’s presence in the East and Southern African regions by proactively identifying and engaging potential clients to generate new business opportunities
Manage end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to deal closure, understanding customer needs and effectively communicating Crayon’s value proposition.
Build a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, and leveraging industry connections
Collaborate with licensing sales, solution architects, and delivery teams to develop customized proposals and service offerings
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and facilitating effective communication across teams
Your Competencies:
5+ years of sales experience within the IT software & services industry, focusing on new business development
Ideally, 2+ years of experience selling cloud-based solutions and services
Strong knowledge of the African IT and technology landscape

Results-driven and customer-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships at all levels, from technical staff to C-suite executives
Strong problem-solving abilities
