The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. The role involves sales, strategy development, market research, and collaboration with other departments to achieve business objectives.
1.     HIGH-LEVEL JOB OBJECTIVES
Objectives
·       Market Research & Analysis:
o  Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and potential partners.
o  Analyze competitors, market needs, and customer behavior to adjust strategies accordingly.
·       Client Relationship Management:
o  Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients.
o  Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts.
o  Negotiate contracts and close agreements that benefit both parties.
·       Sales & Revenue Generation:
o  Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets and objectives.
o  Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the company’s services/products.
o  Generate leads, create proposals, and negotiate terms.
·       Strategic Planning & Partnerships:
o  Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances.
o  Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment between business development and promotional strategies.
o  Develop and implement business development plans to drive growth.
·       Collaboration with Internal Teams:
o  Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of new deals.
o  Communicate market feedback and customer needs to relevant teams for product or service improvements.
·       Reporting & Forecasting:
o  Prepare regular reports on business development activities, progress, and success rates.
o  Provide accurate sales forecasts and help in budgeting and financial planning.
2.     SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and qualifications
Education:
Sales and Marketing related qualifications a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in business development, sales, or a related field, ideally in a similar industry with proof thereof.
Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
