POSITION INFO:

This is a pure business development role. You will be the engine that drives new client acquisition and revenue growth for Salix Recruitment. You will identify and approach potential clients, build relationships from scratch, present our recruitment solutions, and convert prospects into long-term partners.

Duties:

  • Hunt, prospect, and acquire new clients through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and networking
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients from first contact to signed agreement
  • Present and pitch Salix Recruitment’s services in a compelling, consultative way
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and proposal presentations to win and retain business
  • Negotiate contracts and Preferred Supplier List (PSL) agreements with key clients
  • Track all activity in the CRM and report weekly on pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue progress
  • Collaborate with internal recruitment consultants to deliver seamless client experiences

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

  • Matric is essential
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or related role with a verifiable track record
  • Proven B2B client acquisition experience, you know how to open doors and close deals
  • Consistently exceeded individual sales and revenue targets in previous roles
  • Recruitment and Sales industry knowledge is a strong advantage
  • Own car, valid driver’s licence, and comfortable travelling across Gauteng

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-managed and target-driven, able to own your results without micromanagement
  • Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline
  • Resilient, competitive, and commercially minded
