Job Title: Junior Business Analyst
Location: Sandton
The Junior Business Analyst will be responsible for triaging and managing incidents and
change requests as first line of support. This will include performing root cause analysis and
implementing fixes as appropriate, as well as documenting business requirements for new
requests, including updating and/or creating dashboards where relevant.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, systems, and data
analysis, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Check incoming incidents and requests via incident management system, and perform initial triaging for prioritisation
Monitor and track aging of tickets for SLA management
Root Cause Analysis of system incidents and fix as appropriate / relevant
Analyse incident trends to propose long term solution fixes to reduce future incident occurrences
Work closely with stakeholders to prioritise and define project scope, objectives and
deliverables for change requests that are not incident related
Update existing / create and design dashboards and analytics to support stakeholder requirements
Proactively monitor dashboard scheduling and data refreshes and recommend updates as appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data
Analytics, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root cause analysis and solution recommendations
Essential: Expert knowledge of SQL, with experience in querying databases for data analysis and reporting
Proficiency in Power BI, with the ability to update and create dashboards,
visualisations, and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
Understanding of Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, analytics, and
governance capabilities.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other project management tools.
