Role Overview
The Business Analyst will collaborate with clients and engineering teams to understand business problems, gather and refine requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions that meet strategic and operational objectives. This role requires someone with excellent analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
You will play a key role in shaping project scope, guiding functional clarity, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and objectives.
- Elicit, document, analyse, and validate requirements—both functional and non-functional.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and collaborative engagements.
- Translate business requirements into clear and structured artefacts (user stories, use cases, workflows, requirements documents).
Solution Design & Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, developers, QA, and UX teams to align requirements with technical deliverables.
- Provide input into solution design and ensure feasibility from both business and technical perspectives.
- Support backlog management and prioritization processes.
- Ensure that solutions meet business goals, user expectations, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at various levels.
- Serve as a reliable liaison between business and technical teams.
- Communicate progress, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and effectively.
- Ensure consistent expectations and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Quality Assurance & Delivery Support
- Work with QA and development teams to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet defined business needs and comply with requirements.
- Assist in testing activities, including UAT planning, feedback consolidation, and defect clarification.
- Participate in demos, solution reviews, and implementation planning.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Business Analysis Skills
- 4+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a software consulting or custom software delivery environment.
- Strong experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and modern SDLC practices.
- Ability to produce high-quality BA deliverables: process maps, data flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, BRDs/FSDs.
- Solid understanding of enterprise software systems, integrations, APIs, and workflows.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Comfortable engaging with technical teams and translating requirements both ways.
- Familiarity with BA and project tools such as Jira, Confluence, modelling or diagramming tools, and prototyping platforms.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
