Are you an experienced and reliable Site Agent/Foreman looking for your next challenge?
We are a leading property development company based in Cape Town Northern Suburb seeking a Construction Foreman with experience in the construction of walk-up (3 to 5 storey) high-end residential development projects.
The successful candidate will coordinate operations on construction sites, manage all contractors, and ensure the delivery of top-quality residential construction projects on time and on budget.
Market related salary based on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications accurately.
Oversee subcontractors and labour crews, providing guidance and leadership.
Plan daily site activities and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure work adheres to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor site progress and report on project timelines, issues, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Manage site logistics, including materials, equipment, and workforce.
Carry out and document quality control and assurance of all work done on sites.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Excellent understanding and interpretation of all construction drawings from foundation to finishes.
Tertiary Qualification in Construction | Building Management will be beneficial.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and health & safety guidelines.
At least 8 years’ experience in the residential housing industry in a similar role or construction management.
Strong project and site management skills.
Proven track record in the Residential Housing industry from foundation and wet works to finishes.
Broad range of experience with all aspects of residential construction including bricklaying, roofs & trusses, plastering, tiling and other flooring types, painting, ceilings, plumbing, basic electrical, kitchens, bathrooms and vanities.
Proven track record in dealing with numerous sub-contractors on large building projects.
Sound knowledge of NHBRC standards, requirements, and guidelines.
Very good eye for details for quality of wet-works and finishes.
Essential Skill Set
Excellent planning, communication, and organizing skills.
Good leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Confidence and decisiveness a must.
Must be a reactive problem solver and a hard worker.
Driver’s license and own vehicle required.
