IT Technology Solutions Enterprise Level – The BU Lead Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the business in penetrating and expanding within the Mining, Industrial, and Petrochemical sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of driving sales, improving efficiencies, and leading teams to achieve sales and profit targets.
Role and Responsibilities
Industry Penetration: Utilise your industry experience to develop and execute strategies for accessing and expanding in the Mining, Industrial, and Petrochemical sectors. Lead market penetration initiatives in relevant industries.
Sales Target Achievement: Drive and achieve sales and profit goals, identifying new business opportunities and securing new logos.
Sales Processes: Establish and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Team Development: Lead and mentor teams to foster growth, ensuring alignment with company objectives and personal development goals.
Pipeline Development: Drive pipeline development, revenue forecasting, and business planning.
Efficiencies: Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing operations to streamline processes, ensuring smooth execution of sales strategies and increasing overall operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver value to clients and stakeholders.
Strategic Account Planning: Drive strategic account planning and key client relationship management.
Industry Representation: Represent the company at industry events and forums.
Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report on sales progress, market trends, and operational performance to the Sales Executive.
Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Develop and execute GTM strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
P&L Responsibility: Own P&L responsibility with accountability for revenue targets and profitability metrics.
Market Opportunities: Capitalise on new market opportunities and revenue streams.
Sales Enablement: Develop and track sales forecasts, quotas, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
3-year Degree / N-diploma (NQF
6) preferably in Sales, Marketing or related studies.
Experience
Min of 10 years experience in sales management, preferably in the technology sector with proven experience in sales.
Additional Requirements
Strong client network throughout the market.
Prior experience in a start-up or business led by a founder would be advantageous.
Master’s degree in the relevant field would be highly advantageous.

NB:
Must be used to dealing at an Exco level. Contracts are substantial. You must be used to selling solutions in excess of R5,000,000 + (average, it can run into the tens of millions).
Salary / Annual CTC: R1,200,000 R1,800,000 + Commission on top (CTC Includes Pension, Medical Aid) (Negotiable: Based on experience, qualifications & current package).
