Position:
Broadcast Operator
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate and maintain all broadcast equipment onboard the cruise ship, including cameras, audio equipment, and video switchers
– Monitor and adjust broadcast signals to ensure high-quality transmission
– Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during broadcasts
– Coordinate with other departments, such as entertainment and IT, to ensure smooth operation of all broadcast equipment
– Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for the broadcast department
– Train and supervise other crew members who may assist with broadcast operations
– Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in broadcast technology
– Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working onboard the ship
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training in broadcast operations preferred
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in broadcast operations, preferably in a live production environment
– Knowledge of broadcast equipment, including cameras, audio equipment, and video switchers
– Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Willingness to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules
– Fluency in English, both written and spoken
