Full Job Description
Vunani Investment is looking for A Bricklayer to construct, repair, and restore walls and other structures. To achieve their tasks effectively, they must interpret and follow detailed architectural plans. Bricklayers must adhere to specific construction codes to ensure safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints to understand construction plans
Measure, cut, and install various types of bricks and blocks
Mix and apply mortar or cement to bricks
Ensure bricks are installed in the correct location and orientation
Inspect brickwork for defects or structural issues
Use various tools and machinery to cut and shape bricks
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
Perform maintenance and repair on existing brick structures
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Bricklayer
Trade Test in Bricklaying and 4 years’ experience in building construction
Knowledge of different types of bricks and their uses
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in construction
Physical strength and stamina
Ability to work in various weather conditions
