Position: Brand Manager (Scheduled & OTC)

Our client is looking for a Brand Manager (SHEDULED & OTC) to join their fast-growing team in Parktown – Gauteng.

As a Scheduled and OTC Generics Brand Manager for the pharmaceutical group, you will be responsible for bridging the gaps between the customer and the brand by using information from the customer experience to gain insights from the customer’s perspective.

POSITION INFO:

The goal of the Brand Manager is to enhance the customer experience and cultivate customer loyalty in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to market and industry regulation changes.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sciences, or a related field. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

More than 3 years’ experience in brand management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.

Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing, including regulatory environments and market dynamics for scheduled and OTC generics.

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Proficient in marketing analytics tools and software.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape for scheduled and OTC generics.

Develop and implement pricing strategies considering market demand, costs, and regulations.

Create consumer-focused campaigns to increase brand awareness and market share for OTC generics.

Collaborate with research teams to understand consumer behavior and trends.

Brand Management and Promotion:

Oversee branding for scheduled and OTC generics, ensuring messaging consistency.

Design and execute marketing campaigns across various channels.

Monitor brand performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with sales to align strategies, especially for scheduled generics pricing.

Coordinate with regulatory affairs to stay informed on product and regulatory developments.

Budget Management:

Manage marketing budgets for both product lines.

Allocate resources effectively between pricing and consumer campaigns.

Compliance and Ethical Marketing:

Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.

Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes affecting marketing.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

Analyze sales data and campaign performance regularly.

Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
