Overview
Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Branch/Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their logistics branch in the Eastern Cape region. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a background in logistics and supply chain management. The Branch/Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the branch’s operations, ensuring efficiency and profitability, and leading a team of employees to deliver outstanding service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the branch’s operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements
Monitor key performance indicators and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
Communicate regularly with headquarters and other branch managers to coordinate operations and share best practices
Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Participate in budgeting and financial planning activities for the branch
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to ensure the branch remains competitive
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations in a management role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software
Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in the logistics industry
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
