Qualification :
Freight qualification is advantageous
Shipshape or similar knowledge
Groupage and Estimates experience
RCG experience is essential
5 years industry experience
Clear criminal record
Skill :
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Able to handle and work under pressure
Organized and able to work to deadlines
Role :
Must be able to perform full forwarding function
Discuss and negotiate freight rates
Registration of new shipments received from clients
Ensure freight invoices are paid and invoiced out
Able to compare and check rate of exchange being used and paid to carriers
Checking all documentation is correct
Provide clients with daily feedback and updates
Book cargo and inform clients of sailing dates
Processing of forwarding manifests
Handle Groupage and handover shipments
Update ETAs and track shipments online
Checking the various registers and ensuring these are updated
