Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles—especially within the construction or project-based industry.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including day-to-day bookkeeping tasks
Process accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow
Prepare monthly management reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Monitor project costing and track job-specific expenses
Manage VAT submissions and compliance
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and suppliers
Ensure all financial practices align with company policies and relevant legislation
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper (minimum 3 years)
Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)
Experience in construction or property development industry is advantageous
Strong Excel skills and financial reporting capabilities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent time management and ability to work independently
Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field preferred
