Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic boat dealership team. In this vital role, you will manage all financial record-keeping activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our operational efficiency by maintaining precise financial data, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. DUTIES:
Maintain and update the general ledger using Sage accounting software, process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely. Process Payroll
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure consistency across all financial records.
- Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, for various financial activities following GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage payroll processing in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Reconcile balance sheets and ensure all account reconciliations are completed thoroughly.
- Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards and maintain accurate records for audits or inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within a dealership, corporate, non-profit, or public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as,Sage, or equivalent systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting practices.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Experience with payroll processing, tax filings, and government reporting requirements.
- Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), 10-key typing for data entry, and financial report writing.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as account analysis, budget management, and account reconciliation simultaneously.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
