Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This position requires bridging technology, data, and workflows to create a seamless ecosystem where Design, Construction and Operations are fully connected. The position focuses on aligning BIM with enterprise-wide Digital Integration initiatives, ensuring it becomes a core component of the Organization’s transformation journey.

BIM Administration

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Development and implementation of procedures, policies and protocols aimed at increasing efficiencies in document handling i.e. Work Instructions, Standards and Protocols, Asset Registers, Drawing/Model Naming Conventions, ensuring compliance with Teraco standards.
  • Develop BIM Execution Plans (BEP) to manage roles, deliverables and data sharing strategies for stakeholders.
  • Work together with the BIM Manager & BIM Coordinator in acquiring and organizing As-Built Data from Teraco’s Legacy Sites to support ongoing Fit-out projects.
  • Facilitate seamless handover of BIM Models from Design Consultants (Greenfield Projects) to the BIM Team ensuring production of post-handover Federated Models & Digital Twins which are rich in asset data, thus supporting future Operations and Facility Management.
  • Collaborate with external Consultants, Architects and Professionals, to ensure that as-built data fidelity is maintained after the handover of facilities to the Operations and IM teams.
  • Work together with the BIM Coordinator to ensure that any changes post-handover follow the required BIM practices and are properly documented and tracked.
  • Make use of smart technologies to efficiently maintain existing BIM workflows across multiple departments.
  • Evaluate and introduce BIM software solutions, plugins and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks that exist within the administrative space.
  • Establish new templates, processes, workflows, and protocols for implementation within the project design space.

Digital Integration And Development

  • Integrate multiple departments actively using Autodesk Forma. (IDEV, IM, OIMP & FIN).
  • Further development and integration of OIMP input into design and delivery within the IDEV project space.
  • Maintain and enforce BIM Conformance, both across the various departments and the projects which correspond to them.
  • Develop project insight, analytics and intelligent reporting in dashboard format, across various department utilising Autodesk Forma Meta-data.
  • Simplify and Automate project reporting and access to project information for key decision-making by business.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Autodesk Forma "Assets", enabling asset tracking within Digital Twins with a focus on seamless information transfer to Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Development and maintenance of Digital Twins post project handover by BIM Department.

Governance

  • Develop and maintain global standards, guidelines and discipline in Teraco’s BIM way-of-work and protocols across OIMP, IDEV and IM Supply Chain departments within Teraco.
  • Facilitate consultations between internal teams, external consultants, and clients to resolve collaborative issues within Teraco’s BIM CDE & Ecosystem to maintain data integrity.
  • Development of Change Management best practice within both the IDEV and IM project space.

Training & Upskilling

  • Continuous professional development of Teraco employees in the use of Autodesk Forma, and its various tools and functionality.
  • Training and upskilling of Project Teams, including but not limited to consultants and contractors in the use of Autodesk Forma and supporting tools.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Minimum Qualifications: Post Graduate Qualification in the Built Environment (Architecture or MEP)
  • Proven track record with minimum 5 years using Autodesk Suite of BIM Tools within the construction environment. This includes Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Autodesk Forma (formally Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Sound knowledge of International BIM Best Practice
  • Knowledge of Dynamo for Autodesk Revit, Python Programming and Revit API.
