About the Role
Moso Consulting Services is looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and numbers-focused Billing Administrator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of billing, payments and account reconciliations across our medical aid portfolio. This is a hands-on administrative role suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, identifying discrepancies and ensuring that financial and client records are accurate and up to date.
Experience within a medical aid, financial services or brokerage environment will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and administer monthly medical aid insurance billing.
- Capture and maintain accurate billing and client information.
- Process invoices, debit orders, payments and related transactions.
- Reconcile client accounts, premiums and medical scheme statements.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment queries.
- Verify billing information against membership records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with adjustments, refunds, credits and corrections.
- Liaise with medical schemes, administrators, clients and internal consultants regarding billing queries.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all billing documentation is properly filed and accessible.
- Assist with month-end billing processes and reporting.
- Identify irregularities, duplicate charges, incorrect premiums or other billing anomalies.
- Ensure billing transactions are processed within required deadlines.
- Provide administrative support to the finance and brokerage teams when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and financial information.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements and applicable data protection requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in billing, accounts administration or financial administration.
- Strong numerical and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Ability to manage deadlines and high volumes of transactions.
Advantageous Experience
Experience in any of the following will be highly advantageous:
- Medical aid administration or brokerage.
- Medical scheme contributions.
- Commission or broker administration.
- Debit order processing.
- Client account reconciliations.
- Working with medical scheme portals.
- Experience with CRM, accounting or brokerage administration systems.
