The work profile for this position includes supporting the Bid/Finance Team, assisting with the compilation of bid documents, gathering of bid information, contacting relevant stakeholders and discussions with internal staff members.
This position reports to the Executive.
Key responsibilities will include:
Completion, compilation and contribution toward tender documentation and all related deliverables
Contribution to project data sheets, and project experience documents
Assist with the set-up of projects on the digital bid platform
Maintain and update bid tracker
Interface with clients and consultants where necessary
Ability to sometimes work independently on certain tasks but always under the guidance of the bid team management
General Administration tasks
Other tasks as assigned
The ideal candidate should have:
National Diploma or Degree in business, arts, languages (or similar)
Post Graduate qualification will be an advantage.
At least 3 years’ experience within a bid office/team, producing content/deliverables for bids and packing of bids.
Experience in the built environment will be an advantage
Very strong attention to detail and accurate work products
Be proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Word and MS Excel
Will confidently build and maintain external and internal business relationships
Ability to produce clear and logical written communication
Strong organizational, time and planning skills
Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously, and prioritize as necessary
Self-starter, who can work effectively under tight deadlines
Be able to demonstrate innovation, actively seeking opportunities and solutions
Experience to include:
Meticulous attention to detail across all aspects of the bid process and documentation
Ability to work under tight deadlines with the flexibility to work on several projects concurrently
Adaptable and flexible; composed under pressure while managing competing demands
Good leadership and management skills.
Self-driven, ethical, assertive, and delivery oriented.
Able to lead a bid team to deliver exceptional results.
Valid driver’s license
