Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Hartebeespoort for a Beamline Senior Instrumentation and Control Researcher. The researcher will be responsible for developing and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for beamlines, overseeing the design and implementation of experimental setups, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data collection. Daily tasks include collaborating with scientists and engineers, troubleshooting instrumentation issues, and staying updated with technological advancements.
Qualifications
Proficiency in instrumentation and control systems development
Experience in designing and implementing experimental setups
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of data collection methodologies and ensuring data accuracy
Effective collaboration and communication skills with scientific and engineering teams
Familiarity with the latest technological advancements in the field
Ability to work on-site in Hartebeespoort
Relevant degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
Experience in the nuclear industry is a plus
