JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct regular stock-takes, order, and replenish all bars and cellars
from the liquor store at main camp whilst ensuring all associated
paperwork is promptly and accurately completed.
Replenish all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in the fridges and
cellar as per the required par stock.
Ensure all stock is stored at the correct temperature in all fridges, cellars,
and storerooms.
Rotate stock in accordance with ‘First In, First Out’ method, thereby
ensuring stock does not reach it sell by dates or expire.
Ensure the bar is always stocked with sufficient ice; glasses are polished;
knives and chopping boards are clean; and adequate tot measures are
present.
Ensure that high levels of hygiene are maintained in the bar and all its
equipment, to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
Build, light and maintain the fire in the bar fireplace should the weather
call for it. Arrange in advance for wood.
Ensure individual cooler boxes are accurately and adequately packed for
morning and afternoon game drive, taking in account any specific orders
from guests.
Maintain clear, open lines of communication with management in relation
to guest expectations and requests.
Operate within the health and safety guidelines of the camp.
Ensure the standard operating procedures of the bar department are
adhered to
Matric • A minimum of 2 years professional cocktail experience as a Bartender in a high-volume and fast paced environment required. • Must be Knowledgeable of differing drinks and be able to mix and blend cocktails. • Previous bar experience, preferably in 4 or 5-star hotel environment • Ability to speak, read and write in English. • Basic Computer literacy
