The position is based in Rondebosch, Cape Town.
Job Description
Main
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operations of the bakery, including food preparation, customer service, and inventory management.
Train and supervise bakery staff.
Food preparation:
Ensure food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Inventory management:
Maintain accurate inventory records, order supplies as needed, and ensure the bakery section is properly stocked at all times.
Predict demand and ensure minimal waste.
Customer service:
Engage with customers at the service counter to provide excellent service, address customer concerns, and answer any questions.
Educational Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent. Retail-related qualifications will be beneficial.
Experience and Skills Required
3 – 5 Years’ experience in a similar position.
Retail experience (Bakery experience will be an added advantage).
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent customer service abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good staff control and discipline.
Innovative with new ideas.
