We are a leading supermarket with a commitment to offering high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced Bakery Manager to oversee production, reduce wastage, and lead a talented team of bakers and front-of-house staff.
Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee Production: Manage the entire bakery production process, ensuring efficient operation while maintaining high-quality standards across all baked goods.
– Reduce Wastage & Shrinkage: Implement processes to minimize waste and shrinkage through accurate forecasting, inventory control, and waste reduction strategies.
– Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of bakers and front-of-house servers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
– Product Quality: Ensure all bakery products meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and freshness.
– Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring that bakery staff maintain excellent customer-facing standards.
– Staff Training & Development: Train staff on food safety, hygiene practices, and customer service, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
– Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels and order supplies in line with demand to avoid overproduction while ensuring availability of key ingredients.
– Merchandising: Develop and maintain visually appealing product displays that attract customers and increase sales.
– Performance Management: Track bakery performance, implement improvements, and adjust strategies to meet department goals.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in bakery management, preferably in a supermarket or retail environment.
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
– Knowledge of bakery production processes, techniques, and equipment.- Ability to manage stock, control waste, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent customer service and communication skills.
– Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
– Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
