Babylonstoren has anexcitingopportunity for a passionate, people-oriented and meticulous baker to join the bakery team. This position will focus on the manufacturing and processing of baked goods, mainly breads. The ideal candidate is adynamicand positive professional with experience in the baking industry.
Requirements
A completed National Senior Certificate qualification (matric / Grade 12).
At least five years’ relevant baking experience.
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters.
HACCP knowledge would be advantageous.
Keen eye for detail.
Ability to prioritise workload.
Excellent time-management and planning skills.
Self-motivated individual who takes initiative.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to collaborate with team members to solve problems.
Ability to lift heavy items for an extended time.
Ability to read and follow recipes.
This role requires shift work.
Responsibilities
Assisting the bakery supervisor with relevant tasks.
Production planning and workload prioritising.
Weighing and mixing ingredients, fermenting dough and baking goods.
Performing post-bakingquality inspectionand evaluation.
Performing daily stock-take and relevantcommunication.
