POSITION OVERVIEW
Based at Durban Branch to further strengthen our local Sales team, we are currently seeking a:
BAKER– ( Durban, South Africa )
Reporting directly to the TA Senior Supervisor , the successful candidate for this key function will be responsible for:
o Baking and working closely with the Technical Advisor & Sales team.
III. – KEY TASKS
o Bake all products with excellence.
o Train customer bakers on the Company’s products .
o Present finished goods.
o Work with the sales team to build and grow the business
o Plan and execute daily and weekly bakery production .
o Build relationships with customers.
o Create new innovative products from existing products.
o Perform under pressure during shows, presentations and store openings.
o Calculate costings at store level.
o Apply skills by putting recipes together using baker percentage.
o Perform other duties as per operational requirements.
IV. – JOB REQUIREMENT
o Grade 12 is compulsory.
o Driver’s License.
o Minimum of 5 years as a baker; B2B is an advantage; food sector (FMCG market) is an advantage .
o Computer literacy: MS Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint,Excel,Word).
o Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
o Over and above normal working hours, occasional overtime is required.
o Sleep away from home.
o Written comprehension – the ability to read and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
o Good communication skills – English is a prerequisite.
o Strong presentation.
o Ability to read and write in English and any other language(s).
o Good personality, hardworking, team work, service orientated, creative, innovative, trustworthy, open to learn from feedback.
