Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Testing Operator to join our manufacturing and quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing of electronic components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electronics testing, schematic interpretation, and quality control procedures. Duties
- Perform surface mount technology (SMT) inspections and validation on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and manual techniques.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics, voltage testing, and circuit testing to verify functionality and identify faults.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters (ohmmeters), calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments for accurate measurements.
- Execute electronics functional testing, RF testing, and component testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and IPC 610 standards for quality inspection and troubleshooting.
- Apply soldering skills for repairs or modifications using electrical soldering techniques and hand tools.
- Collect data during testing processes to support quality assurance documentation and analysis.
- Identify defects or deviations from quality standards through rigorous inspection procedures.
- Assist in the development of test automation processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Follow electrical safety procedures during all testing activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues using schematic diagrams and engineering troubleshooting methods.
Experience
- Proven experience in electronics testing, quality control, or manufacturing environments involving PCB assembly and inspection.
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and electronic component testing.
- Knowledge of electrical schematic reading, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as spectrum analyzers.
- Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and test automation software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IPC 610 standards for electronics assembly and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Skills in using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, and spectrum analyzers.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for effective defect identification and resolution.
- Prior experience in RF testing or electronics system troubleshooting is advantageous.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
