Role Description The Automotive Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at MUJI Motor Group in Ladysmith. This role oversees the daily operations of the service department, including managing service advisors and technicians, ensuring efficient workshop scheduling, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Service Manager is responsible for monitoring service performance, controlling costs, managing parts usage, and implementing processes that improve productivity and profitability. Day-to-day tasks include engaging with customers, resolving service-related concerns, reviewing work orders, approving estimates, and ensuring clear communication between the workshop and customers. The role also involves training and mentoring team members, maintaining compliance with manufacturer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding and hands-on experience in Automotive and Vehicle Maintenance.
- Proven ability to drive Customer Satisfaction through high-quality Customer Service and effective issue resolution.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with technicians, service advisors, customers, and management.
- Previous experience in a service management or supervisory role within an automotive dealership or workshop.
- Knowledge of service department processes, workshop scheduling, and dealer management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and meet performance targets.
- Relevant technical or automotive qualification; additional business or management training is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, with a focus on fairness, accountability, and safety.
